I love Asus networking products. The N generation like the RT-N12 is dirt cheap now. I deploy them in client offices and they have uptime measured in years. It's not WiFi Ac and I don't care. It stays stable, has guest WiFi networ

They definitely do not hold your ID, except perhaps to lend you the tools to replace your battery in the parking lot. Forcing a customer to drive without a hard copy of the driver license is not smart. The deposit you pay to rent the tool i

That's not always the case. A secondary source is any web URL. They just don't want original research IN the article. Citing material in foreign language is usually not a problem.

From the article, the employee chose the wrong item from the "drop down menu". That is just bad UX. Such interfaces should have a confirmation like "You are about to send a REAL alert to millions of cell phones. Please type E

This is sad news. I love playing dance games with Kinect. The "Dance Central" series is brutally accurate in its judging. I remember seeing a demo of Project Natal, which was Kinect's codename. It deeply impressed me because

Can't rate a driver who didn't start a trip. That's how they fly under the radar. Forcing the driver to be the one who cancels will get them on the radar and out of the system. Excessive cancel rates get drivers deactivated m

I doubt it. My Lyft onboarding experience consisted of watching a couple of safety videos at an auto parts store instead of a 1:1 "mentor" session. Last I heard, mentors are gone in San Francisco. Lyft requires newer cars, which c

Drivers are able to do this because they can't be rated if the trip is canceled. Passengers should never cancel accepted trips. That's what I explain to my passengers when they complain about other drivers doing this. I never canc

Clustering low income residents creates the "street prison" phenomenon. Such housing complexes often have bars on windows for residents' protection. They may have increased frequency police patrols. In effect, people voluntar

All 60+ domains I own are .com although I have a .net and a .org for a couple of words. I only paid premium price of $2000 on one of them. My company name is Sendlinks and getting Sendlinks.com kind of makes sense. ;) In particular, I have

JavaScript is being redefined. The language is flexible enough because of prototypal inheritance that every method can be redefined at runtime. ES6 added many missing features. That's unusual. These frameworks extend the language. Angu

If drivers can walk away from the lease after 30 days (well, 44 to be precise), I see no problem with this offer. These drivers represent an extreme risk. They just need to understand that the Uber lease should be treated as a short-term pr
