I haven't tracked WASM closely, so this is an honest question. Are you saying this comment is false? > I am not aware of any project that achieves compilation of JavaScript to wasm I.e., Javascript to WASM is on the roadmap and some

Ironically, I think you'll have much better luck looking at web design books from that era, instead of links on the web. I just pitched a bunch of my design books from that area, and they were full of "cutting edge" examples.

I'm the dad of an 11 year old boy and a 8 year old girl. Text IS scary, because it's nontrivial. There's a reason schools start with the ABCs and spend the first four years of school teaching kids to read. And even then we do

Ideally you don't want to port the C/C++ over to Python: that's the value proposition of mJS, I think.

The advantage is time. Many (most?) embedded environments are overly difficult (IMHO), and/or proprietary. Also, even in a good environment, C/C++ typically requires more lines of code than dynamic languages like Python or JS. The

If you're interested in developing good content habits, and not just content tooling, I highly recommend The Information Diet. Short read and very thoughtful. You won't likely agree with everything (I didn't), but it's w

Perhaps. Had they handled the redesign correctly, things may have turned out differently. It was a perfect storm of design, technology and technology failure...

True, but your data also supports the view that the redesign hastened Digg's death, and seems to correlate with increased growth at Reddit. I.e., Reddit was doing something right, and Digg was shrinking. The Digg redesign fiasco accele

Seen a few comments focus on the "redesign" and comparisons to Digg, and wanted to add a few comments: 1. People may forget, but Reddit was a (the?) major winner in the Digg exodus. 2. I don't think Digg every got the subredd

Of course you're right, but lots of startups and "corporate makers" learn this the hard way.

Depends on what the definition of production is. Sourcing all the components for 10,000 units and building a reasonable BOM that business will accept is a typical type of production I see... not something that you can do with a Pi.

Good question. One way to vet this would be to count two things: 1. What percentage of the population uses crypto currency on a regular basis (maybe once a month) 2. What percentage of vendors use it. That is a B2C view of the world, and mi

I agree. However, there's not a good way to compare apples to apples like there is with a university education. Maybe that's the next step: having these MOOCs come up with some competing standards...
