One of the first "commercial" games I worked on was a Flash (Flex) game that I licensed to a few of the big Flash games sites at the time. I haven't looked at that stuff in years and years... I wonder how feasible it would be

Are you sure they are spam? Google's engineers consider annoying things like recipe pages with 20 paragraphs of stories before the actual recipe not to be spam.

This is why I really like the DDG system of !bang operators. Because each search engine works differently, if you're knowledgeable about the different engines, you can pick the best one for the job. Just for fun, I thought I would try

One issue with that is that there has been an arms race since 2008 with "search engine optimization". If you used a crawler from 2008 on today's web, you'd probably get a ton of spam.

Are you sure you are looking at all running processes? Slack splits it's memory usage across multiple, as you can see from my screenshot.

I have no custom packages installed - I use atom just to take notes and do small text editing. When I run `atom --safe` it starts at around the same amount of memory usage: https://imgur.com/j4Co4n6.png Side note: Running t

Well, Slack is currently taking almost 3 GB of memory on my machine. Not entirely sure if that's due to Electron or Slack, but I have never found an Electron app that didn't consume vast swathes of memory. https://img

I ignored the original post due to the boring title, and only read the second post due to the more interesting title. I don't really have a point other than the duplicate was what I was following, while the original was not.

Have you ever been locked out of the internet because Google thought you were a bot? It has happened to me before, and it's not fun. Your only recourse for sites running v3 is to install Chrome and sign into a Google account.

I worked on an art installation that used AR cardboard cards as the "controllers" in a 50+ person platformer game. I also worked on a smaller business card AR project.

It's a fun tech, but I fail to see any real world value that can be derived from it. I have worked on AR stuff before and found some niche uses, but I am having real trouble finding general commercial applications apart from fun and ga

Distance is still a huge problem. The Starlink signal still needs to travel up to the satellites 500 KM up, and then another 500 KM back down. That should be around 2 ms (thanks user jobseeker990, corrected from previous 15ms) of added late

It's relative to the solar system. The solar system itself is traveling at 514,000 mph relative to the center of the galaxy.
