Having spent a lot of time in this domain, you have to (and most seem to be coming to the same conclusion) just assume that everything that connects to your network is untrusted and likely owned and work inwards from there for your threat m

Why? It doesn't really address any of the issues raised, it's just another system to support and another source of potentially bad clients.

This is just a sales problem though - you don't sell a "static website" you sell the development, management and hosting of their site and that's where you build your margin.

Yes, and unfortunately now we have a mob of idiots in the Channel 9 Commentary box. ABC Grandstand radio all the way....

Agreed, or implement RDNS verification like the major search engines do.

Agreed on the consulting shop idea - am doing that for my little shop in rural NSW, using a similar structure to accountancies/law firms.

Oh, it was a real argument that people actually believed...there were some other rippers - the cows milk turning sour due to the "extra" sunlight was one that is particularly memorable.

It says it right on the card on the table that explains the min/max bets (in Aus at least). Also, it's basic stats which can be applied depending the house rules.

Just a nit, but Nile isn't the head of the ACL, which is a lobby group - he is the head of the Christian Democratic Party.

We generally don't have sustained climbs, especially like those in Europe. In cycling terms, we don't have an Alp d'Huez or a Tormalet - something that is 15+ km of HC climb. We tend to either 2 - 5km of sharp steep stuff, or

This is already reality for decent sized ag setups - measuring things like soil moisture, pH levels etc and reporting back.

It's not the NixOS approach and it needs some work to make it more palatable, but they already ship DSC with PoSH/WMF 4, which goes some of the way.

Wait, isn't that just if it's used/configured as a CGI? If you use it as a webserver module (Apache/IIS/Lightspeed), the execution environment can persist in a similar way to an app domain, right?

Yes, nice, same here. One question out of curiosity - on your IStorageQuery interface what methods do you have? Do you have the usual by Id's etc or do you have a query object that you pass in that can build/translate to the relev

yeh you could do it but what a hassle. Would require new meters at the premises, as well as each individual circuits for each charging station that you wanted to bill (otherwise there would be no way to separate out the usage). IOW yes, but

This is a limitation of the way ETW does structured logging, rather than a design decision in sysmon itself.

The event log yes, is not great for querying, but the underlying ETW mechanism that actually does the logging is great and extremely fast, despite that post a few days ago that thought it was the worst API ever.

It's been too long since I've actually worked with it, but it is how Win8 does file history and wbackup uses it to make its differential backups, of all files, not just log like files. Sorry I can't be more specific

OT but I don't care, as I love being reminded how small the world is...I lived in Arana Hills in the 90's/2000's and went to Ferny Hills primary. I can imagine this would be easily possible in that area :)
