Not really. Anycast is fairly standard and usable for stateful connections - the issue is again middleboxes fucking with stuff and a weird default of incorporating TTL in the ECMP hashing algo

Not really...The issue is more using TTL in your ECMP hash algo. It’s a weird default to have.

Fibre buffer is standard colours, you just match and splice. Service loops in the run provides slack to take up, else you just cut and splice in a short segment.

The only person who’s opinion you should worry about is your internal legal counsel’s. The nerds who try to carry on like this is a technical problem with a technical solution are so far off. It’s about beig able to argue and justify your i

Heh are you me? I too have the same problem with "DevOps" - I prefer to evangelise it as a culture of Developers and Operations/Engineering being able to work closely and collaboratively - two departments that have historical

Process Explorer uses ETW under the hood and you should too...learn this and become a Windows debugging master. Admittedly ProcExp will make you seem amazing as it is but harnessing ETW power will make you unstoppable

Good comment - I am a DevOps lead and have spent time thinking about this. PErsonally, I try to promote Dev/Ops - the slash is important - you still have dev and you still have ops but there must be a culture of co-operation and flexib

Yes, and that's the problem....think about the request flow between a canary deploy, that hits the canary home page html with a reference to a cdn subdomain with a new version string, but that CDN subdomain goes to the old, non-canar

Stickyness is the key and the trickiest - especially if you use multiple host names pointing the same codebase to get around HTTP 1.1 limitations around multiple connections. For example, you roll out a new canary on your main domain and st

802.11ac wave 1 is 1.3Gbps theoretical max, Wave 2 is 2.3Gbps or so theoretical max. But that's half duplex. And it's shared amongst every station on the AP, so it'd be rare to see consistent gig speeds for a station anywhere

That is more referring to the user/pass you might use to login retrieve card details say from a card vault for manual processing. Indeed PCI 3.1 (and actually from v2) has a strong requirement for MFA when connecting to the cardholder
