I sync everything with the cloud and have a local backup which allows me to rollback any change to any file. So in the event that the cloud goes rogue I can just disconnect and restore from backup. But also, in the event that my office gets

Think about the engineering involved. A 25ft rise would require what, a 35ft high reinforced concrete structure? It has to be capable of dissipating the wave energy from a storm like sandy. The foundations have to be pretty deep to guarante

I don't know, and I doubt anyone has ever been arrested for bribing a police office over a speeding ticket. But I think a few people have at least been investigated for paying bribes to gain contracts for things like oil rights and arms dea

Hah! Your english is so good I assumed you are a native speaker, it never crossed my mind that you are Dutch; I can't even tell if your last sentence is sarcastic or advanced level self deprecation :-)

Pretending to be Dutch is not such a good idea. Almost all dutch people speak very good English. In fact I've noticed that some Dutch people will get a bit offended if you ask if they can speak English because they all can. So if the office

When I'm driving 600 miles, I usually stop for lunch. In the UK, all you would need to immediately make most long distance journeys viable is charging bays at about 5 or 6 existing strategically chosen service stations on trunk routes[1]. R

What constitutes hidden terms and conditions is a pretty subtle thing. I think you might be expected to seek out the terms of a business relationship such as this even if it's created unilaterally. It's much easier for a consumer to say 'I

When you say 40000 parts, is that 'just' moving parts or every single nut, bolt, rod, plate etc? When i was doing some 'blue sky' research at an architectural practice a few years ago I looked at a variety of mech eng packages for modelling

Some super quick comments. What is the mechanical engineering behind this? Did you do all the calcs? Simulate it in CAD or something? Gas struts need to be tuned to the weight you are counter balancing; are you selling or recommending a par

Imagine if you could propose a law, then garner support for it at a grassroots level. E.g back in 2002(?) someone proposes a law that makes it a criminal offense to declare war without the backing of the UN. Effectively anyone can table a p
