Im not a lawyer so there may be subtle details I don't understand, but broadly in England and Wales, you can be sued within either 6 years or 12 years from the date of a breach of contract depending on type of contract, in Scotland 15

You are missing quite a few vegetarian only restaurants. There are three I thought of immediately: The Gate in Hammersmith. or that place on Drummond St near Euston station (Diwani?) Rasa in Stoke Newington. All are well known enough to hav

I think you are mistaken. In Britain, the term 'midwife' means specifically a postgraduate qualification on a general nursing degree. They are certified medical professionals and have a level of specialised knowledge akin to a ICU

Safety is not the same as feeling safe. In Britain, about 10-15 years ago, they changed all the emergency services sirens to the same sound as the police have always used. You used to be able to tell the difference between an ambulance, a f

A lot of the discussion on this thread has descended into a slanging match about French regulation and work life balance vs US libertarianism and customer service. This is mostly missing the main point which is that Amazon has an unfair adv

I noticed that my MacBook does this as well. If I touch the case then touch my ear while it's charging I hear a buzzing sound and feel my fingers tingling where they touch the laptop. I always wondered how the buzzing was transmitted.

I'm an Architect and I have worked on large projects in London, although not this one thankfully[0], so I thought people might like to know how the process of designing a building like this works. A developer hires an international &#x

Cockney is relatively easy compared to some other local UK dialects/accents. My wife's family is from Stirlingshire in Scotland and they say stuff like: 'yer wain's greetin' -> 'the baby's crying'.
