So 2080 is number of hours per working year (assuming zero annual leave and public holidays) I think you should have just calculated 100000/260 to get miles per day, not 10^6/2080. Your 480.8 miles per day should be 48.1 miles per

Cane toads were introduced to Australia [1] with devastating consequences to the local fauna. I suspect that's one of the species it'd be most happy to be rid of. Then there's the feral rabbits, camels, horses (brumbies), pig

That seems insane! I know Australia is a bit more used to drought but it does seem to do astonishingly better at water conservation. My water bill tells us our water consumption is 200L per day, or 100L per person. Brisbane average is 400L

Interesting - freegeoip.net thinks I'm about 30km from Brisbane in the opposite direction to the side I'm on. ipinfo.io thinks I'm in Brisbane, which is slightly more accurate (although also less specific), although still ab

I suspect the OP has USD, and that the RaboDirect account will be in AUD. Investing in AUD would be a bold investment approach, and certainly not risk free.

Dinorwig power station in North Wales does this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinorwig_Power_Station . For a consumer though, a single KW (3.6MJ) of power would be generated by moving 10m^3 (i.e. 10KL) of water 36m (app

A better workaround is to right-click the download and then select Open, which will then ask you if you really want to open. That way you maintain the additional protection in general while still bypassing it for this (and similar) instance

What about the costs of running the hardware - power, cooling, network switches, storage arrays, datacentre rental (or opportunity costs of using a server room versus more desk space for example)? Not saying it still wouldn't work out

In 'Working with Legacy Code', Michael Feathers defines legacy code as code without sufficient tests. The great thing about this definition is that it doesn't matter how old the code is - if it can be changed without worry ab
