I’m not sure why this access required a “special relationship”. I remember years ago reading public Apple dev docs that recommended rendering certain things on iPhone and sending them over to the watch as a rasterized image.

Not long ago the Apple Watch was very limited in what it could render on-device. So a bunch of apps had to do it this way.

I'll take an optimistic outlook and say this only looks bleak to us now, but will be a net-postive for human society in the long run. I see it as less of an end-of-the-world event and more as a gradual age of reckoning on a planetary s

The project page at https://wasp-lang.dev/ is much more informative, I had no idea what wasp is trying to accomplish by reading the README.

I hope research on this continues. I’m willing to bet that we don’t even have to increase the hours for the 4 days of work and there would be a similar result. Every time I truly run out of time for work in a week, it is due to poor managem

I’ve found the following to be key in a good experience: 1. Do not take too much. This cannot be overstated. You don’t need to take 4 tabs of LSD, you don’t need to take a 1/4 oz of shrooms. Take the right, safe amount. Usually 1 tab o

Add this to the reasons I would never consider working for Intuit. This and making taxes harder to do for everyone in the US.

It is, but it's still possible and generally easier now than times in the past.

Is there anything official from Google saying Amp is no longer affecting mobile search result rankings? I haven't been able to find anything.

My team just implemented the native date inputs for a client's site this past week. With native date inputs working for every good browser but safari desktop (it's in technology preview), we saved lots of time and effort with mini

I think this drop-in style meeting space is best being optional. At my work, we have a 3hr block of time on Fridays that’s a place to hang out/learn from each other/fix issues in a collaborative environment. It’s 100% optional.

Tiktok is definitely a social network. For example you can send videos to your “friends” only and it will show up first when they open the app. But, I get what you mean. Tiktok isn’t focused on friends, it feels more like a content stream s

Funnily, I find safari to be a worse offender often when looking to implement a slightly newer standard. Especially safari on Mac. Date inputs have been in iOS safari for a while now and are still only in technology preview on Mac.

This site is broken on iOS Safari, the top area is overflowing and cashing the width of the container to increase wider than the rest of the site.

They could make it a full blown web app too. App icon, notifications, etc.

iCloud is great for a hands-off experience. But if you’re accessing photos professionally or even somewhat seriously, I totally agree.

The point of the tweet was to show that’s it’s funny how Ford solved this problem. They could have done it all complicated with two displays, one with a circle punched out and the other one a small circle, but they opted to mimic human touc

My only question is.. why? Being someone who’s used autolayout on iOS and flex/grid on the web, I much prefer flex/grid.

Very informative channel. City planning is extremely important for human life and only recently in the U.S. have we started to rethink how it should be done.

As a long time iOS user, I have to say I’m liking the changes to android. It’s still not on par with iOS in my opinion but progress is being made. I still don’t get little things like inconsistent app icon shapes.

We couldn't ask for a better creator of ETH in my opinion. He isn't selling these coins for personal gain, he's donating upwards of a billion dollars toward fighting covid in India.

Well, not really. Apple has built in specific ways of monitoring un-wanted tracking. I have to assume the officials you mentioned have already had more flexible and purpose-built means of covertly tracking others for years if not decades no
