SEOmoz have been seeing extreme volatility in EC2 spot pricing - could this have been related to pre-release testing of Silk? http://devblog.seomoz.org/2011/09/amazon-ec2-spot-request-vo...

I am one of the owners of one of the companies that Ed interned at. He is amazing - proving that opportunity is there if you just go and grab it. Here's what he produced: http://www.distilled.net/linkbait-guide/

I'm one of the founders of Distilled (mentioned in the story) and I also come from a technical background (maths mainly). The thing I love about SEO is that we get to work on harder problems in more fun ways than any other industry I've com

So excited about this. We're thrilled to be involved (and really happy this is now public so we can start talking about it!). I'm going to be writing more on the Distilled site about the whole experience and why we're getting involved / how

Really? Is there anything similar in the UK? I don't believe there is - but I generally tend to believe there is less red tape around entrepreneurial activities in the US than the UK (we run businesses in both places).

This is smart. Wish I'd thought of this. I love hacking GA to do fun stuff. My recent favourite is tracking real page load time (i.e. not just server response times but actual user load times in the wild).
