It's not just posturing, their success came easy to them and thus they truly believe success is easy. They don't recognize the huge role luck plays. There is also the fact that the problem you guys are describing is not a problem at all to

I realize this is propaganda but it's working on me. I'm starting to like Kim Jong-Un. First Eric Schmidt, then Dennis Rodman and now TPB. If these are the kinds of friends he wants to make, I'm a fan. This is a masterful 'fuck you' to the

Not without paying taxes on it. Companies like Apple, Facebook and Google have many billions of dollars in foreign banks which they aren't bringing back because they'd have to pay huge tax bills if they did. There has been a lot of pressure

I'd spend some time learning how to hack the press and try to get some free publicity. This is a good place to start: http://onstartups.com/tabid/3339/bid/80121/How-To-Get-Media-... You want to give them a pre-packaged story and from a qu

Agreed. A hacker put some malicious code on one of my sites over a year ago and it was quickly buried in search results after ranking 1-3 on page one for years. I fixed it, changed hosts, notified Google and have tried everything else I can

As his $700 severance package demonstrates, the guy just didn't care about money. That's admirable and I think he's awesome for it - but when it comes to whether or not you can be fired from your own company, it's foolish. He got outplayed

Biggest lesson here is to go for Zuckerberg style control. Mason gave these guys control from the very beginning because he 'doesn't care about money' and didn't want to be greedy. Now look at him - he got fired from his own company while i

Not looking bootstrappy sounds like a good reason to use it for some projects. Is there a 'stock foundation' looking site you can link to, I'm curious if I'd recognize it.

Nice commission for that sales rep. This is the dark side of enterprise sales. Microsoft and many others have surely done many such deals over the years - and paid out handsome bonuses to the reps/execs who made them happen.
