Can anyone remind me what Tcl is good for anymore? I know a lot of EDA tools use it as the backend for builds but once the software writes the Tcl script for me, I've never had to make any changes to it more complex than variable names

Power usually comes from fossil fuels on islands like this. Even a group of islands as large as Hawaii used 73% fossil fuels in 2017. Small, poor islands are going to almost entirely run off of fossil fuels since investment in energy infras

FRAM is pretty neat. I considered using an MSP430FR5969-SP for a component on a satellite but backed off when I learned more about the destructive read process. We were concerned about a transient bitflip during the write back and had no wh

I've got a brand new Kia. The FM radio comes on so fast, it's surprising. Every car I've ever had always has had some sort of warm up time or a splash screen on the infotainment system while it's booting up. This Kia has

It would be interesting to have this design on an FPGA that has a built-in DAC. I could see a very general purpose midi keyboard that has an interface that would allow switching between multiple different simulated synthesizers.

You personally don't have a say but the market does. If it artificially costs more to produce a good, the market would ideally find a way to produce the same good in a manner that doesn't involve heavy carbon taxes. For carbon tax

I'm surprised they really break down the pricing on their custom tracking devices. Most companies would just have a "contact us" button and then dump out some arbitrary pricing after a few email exchanges.
