Hyper-V runs under Fusion, Qubes OS and Xen also work. Have not tested others, but this is one area where Fusion excels. Yes it will be slower, but for testing the concept that is usually fine.

While I agree with the sentiment. Here's why you should not delete your yahoo account. Once you delete your account, yahoo will make it available again to everyone. This means that if you have not unlinked everything it can be used by

The linked KB article only talks about VMware Fusion not ESXi :) I am aware about the statement that ESXi running on Mac Hardware is supposed to be legal. However if you install bootcamp on your hardware, install Windows in the bootcamp par

Apple does supply security updates for older versions of OS X though. Once that stops it really is time to move on.

Also a fan of the late adoption on OS X / macOS new versions. While that works well, you can install the newer version in another partition or disk. That's what I did with macOS Sierra and then I went back to an older version as i

Not the OP, but I think you misunderstood. Excel was always a windows application that had the same functionality as lotus 123 that was a DOS application. So much so that the keyboard interface is still compatible. Actually what I remember

Yep, my bet is that they're just expensive blue tooth ear buds. If they would need to do any additional processing then the most logical place to do that is the phone, not the air pod.

Well first of all we were not talking about Oracle but about Windows licenses. Second I did not touch the legal aspect, just stated what the EULA contains and that it might be enforced by technical means. The law has its differences all ove

The "unused original license" is an OEM license. An OEM license lives and dies with the hardware it comes with. Quite often it is even tied to the hardware, so you cannot even install it on PCs of a different brand and/or mod

An interesting issue as it turns out. The reason this was happening was not because of SQLite, but due to how the FireDAC driver handles the locking. That driver had a setting "BusyTimeout" which supposedly takes care of a lock wa

If somebody sends a pdf invoice then i can save the invoice. An html invoice on the web needs to be printed to paper or pdf in order to be part of a financial administration. If it stays on a webserver, the document likely dissappears.

Thanks! Looks like the manual locking that I added around reading/writing the data is working out OK. Time and a lot of testing will have to tell. Despite all that I still like SQLite a lot. It's so incredibly easy to deploy and r

Thanks, I had read that part before though. When staying in normal journal mode the app sees the data just fine and the data is committed directly in that case. Updates/Deletes are all pretty much instant and any queries results are co

So I read about WAL mode down here and cheered because it sounded like it would solve the occasional "database is locked" error that the app I am working on is bumping into. The database is only opened by 2 users on the same machi

VMware only has passthrough support for ESXi/vSphere. Not for VMware workstation or VMware Player. So unfortunately not with Linux as a host. For the record, VMware Fusion also does not support PCIe passthrough.
