Wyze refused to reconnect to my new WiFi access points with the same SSID but a different password. All kinds of resets did nothing and I ate the costs and switched my smart plugs to Kasa from TP Link. It’s been better but not without fault

I can put HomeKit devices on a VLAN and not have them phone home. My Apple TV or HomePod will act as a bridge and will carry out my automations while I’m gone. Apple devices don’t bother me they aren’t an Ad company and have products I’ll b

I have a 3 year old. She hates going to bet and was having a tantrum for a while last night. She’s smart and figured out we will take her out of the bedroom if she says she has to pee pee. After 4 times of playing around in the bathroom and

The x11 board was less than $350 and the i3 was $140. I think I spend more on RAM than the board.

Why shift from a dedicated memory channel and chip to a shared one? The FreeNAS/TrueNAS community has worried about situations like the scrub of death (no ecc). Others on the forum below think the same about consumer DDR5 “ecc”. https

I didn’t call it fake but I am hesitant to adopt something that doesn’t have a need. Is it better and more reliable or is it cheaper for the manufacturer to produce? My money is on it being cheaper to produce and with no benefit to the cons

In-band ECC is likely a lot more marketing speak and a lot less ECC. The way I look at ECC is like this, no extra die no ECC. In band “ECC” DIMMS store the ECC bits on the same memory chips using the same lanes as the data. Side band ECC u

I use an i3 on an x11 Supermicro board with ecc memory. Upgrading to 10gbit was easy. Once hardware costs comes down I may go to 25 or 100.
