It was 98% humidity and 70 degrees at 7:30 this morning. I broke into sweat watering plants with athletic clothes on. It’s now 86 degrees and 65% humidity. Spring has only started. For me it’s not an option. I have to dry clean. It is easie

Real B&B’s and Hotels are much better in the states too. The AirBnB fees and crappy experience make it only feasible if large numbers of people want to stay together. Even then I’ve found VRBO and direct renting to be superior in everyt

If the workers are empowered why does Germany lag behind the US, most Nordics, and other Northern European neighbors in PPP per capita? I assume work organizations would be able to get more share of profits.

What if you don’t speak English? I guess it wouldn’t really matter but if you were leaning English it might not work with better pronunciation later.

Yea I could link to two different sources who say endothermic, one of which is a university. The others are articles with spelling and grammar mistakes and that’s why I didn’t link a source. The shark can raise its body temperature 14-20 de

Salmon sharks are warm blooded and can stand temps down to about 36 degrees. I wonder if they have any adaptations in their gills to prevent heat loss or if they don’t care because they warm their bodies.

That sounds extremely low. During the Great Recession I worked at Chili’s bar and grill and made similar amounts on a 4-5 hour weeknight shift. I know people who worked at Waffle House and made decent money for a 20 year old server. A lot o

Most graduates, especially engineers, are not seeing $200k out of school. HN is skewed highly towards people in FAANG and SF where salaries are out of the norm for most positions. I know a few fresh out of school lawyers and they are right

No it’s not possible in the way or manner you described unless it’s an office phone. Banks aren’t creating a super secret MVNO to comply with regulations and the telcos aren’t cutting breaks for a bank or a 3rd party spy network. I’d imagin

It’s the same as beer. Light degrades the beer or oil. My olive oil research says a lot of cheap oils are already going rancid by the time you buy them. Very good quality bill oils, like Costco’s EVOO, will go rancid before you can use it a

I would bet most people across the US are not going to hit the 250k or 500k mark. How much more is it 5%? I’m not sure, 5% of 500k is only $25k more in taxes. I don’t have enough time to parse this data but it is very interesting to me that
