Thanks for the clarification! From Gitea's doc I was under the impression that it was going further than "true" so I didn't understood why because "true" was enough for me to not be bothered by bots. But in you

I don't understand the purpose of this parameter value? I have `REQUIRE_SIGNIN_VIEW=true` and I see nothing but my own traffic on Gitea's logs. Is it because I'm using a subdomain that doesn't imply there's a Gitea

I don't watch TV and use ad-blockers on my devices so I don't have a clue of what ads look like nowadays. And given how people are praising this one (that looks exactly like the ones I was used to growing up) I can only guess that

I'm confused by your comment. You link an article that talks about how manufacturers lied on their emission figures. But later you seem to imply that the actual lie was about how bad emissions are for humans/environment?

That's interesting. I'm a planner and that's one of the reasons I don't order my groceries. If there's one thing I know I can't rely on, it's to be delivered on schedule and/or receiving exactly what

Is this a US thing? I think here in France the best example is Lidl. The stores are laid out the same, so not only your usual store doesn't change, but you can go to any store in the country and find what you want at the same spot. Per

> Albums within albums I didn't knew about Lychee previous to your comment, but given that they support what should be a basic feature of photo management software (unlike Immich), I'll give it a try Thanks for the suggestion!

Given how many times I've read praises about Immich here, I tried it a few weeks ago and was quite disappointed. The fact that they don't support sub-albums make it an absolute no-go to me.

Currently, someone interested in an iPad and needing the power of a MB, will have to buy both. If they stopped restricting the iPad, those people would only have to buy an iPad. And as someone without a single interest in an iPad, I would w

If you want Swiss but without the fancy marketing claims of Proton, have a look at Infomaniak. They are to me the most legit alternative to Google Workspace/Office 365, run on their own infra and they've been here forever.

It was the most painful episode I watched, as someone working in IT; so my brain managed to forget most of the details to protect me. But seeing Ash reviewing all the previous versions at 3:08, I'd say yes, that's this episode!

You can also see it that way: big corps are funding the computing cost to ingest and propagate your ideas to millions of people, for free to you. The alternative would be to setup yourself a system that could serve those people.

AWS is not just EC2 And even EC2 is not just a VPS If you need a simple VPS, yes, by all means, don't use AWS. For this usecase AWS is definitely not cheaper nor simpler. Nobody said that. Ever.
