Do you have spotify? I'm wondering if it's the people who don't have spotify who "lean" to a certain initial interpretation that is colored by previous experience (especially in having to utter the phrase to someone

Even after the fail, I still didn't realize it wasn't an example link and thought that they had made an error in maintaining an outdated or expired one. They should just use an actual example link!

You’re comparing different models? I don’t understand the connection here to a supposed change in performance over time. The ways performance is reduced is when processing power may be throttled (eg Apple battery gate) or because a newer Ap

Nicotine. But not the smokeable kind. And low dosage. But not if you’re likely to get addicted. The absurdity is that your country definitely makes it legal for historical reasons rather than useful less addicting stimulants.

So they did mean Eventbrite? I was wondering if Eventribe was actually a thing and was guessing that it really could be. (It seems that it is a thing, but small. Not even leaning into the “tribe” aspect of the name)

One of my pet peeves of the opening scene in Star Trek (2009?) was when the ‘bad guy’ shows up on the monitor, his video is stretched wide to fill the view screen. wtf kind of future is that?!

It’s lab-grown salmon… I was not expecting salmon to be actually raised — that’s just farmed. Cell cultures to create solids was everything I’d expected. The term “plant based ingredients” is kinda dumb though.

My car (an old Jetta) lasted ~20 years and was still good to go when I got rid of it. Only the body itself had any issues. I suppose the use would vary based on terrain? It was useful to get to a gear with more torque for taking off again.
