I see your concern, if I was a beginner and I googled around I might be inclined to learn the supposedly good looping which might be difficult.

I don't see the relevance of the style guide mentioned for the debate over how to teach beginners. When you check out a guide, it has to be assumed you are familiar with pretty much most of the syntax of your language.

Its also interesting to know that Readability, which I use to format anything i want to read, cant parse this, so I am stuck reading in this unfamiliar (to me) format. Update: Safari's reader, however, worked just fine, and it looks fabulou

Pardon the ignorance, but can't this be achieved by simple Ajax requests provided by any of the js frameworks? How is this better?

Yep, prose is very cool and Michael did a great job listening to feedback from fellow developers. I already use a custom version on an upcoming opinion website that I based on Jekyll.

I actually enjoy these types of videos. I think actually typing stuff off of the video, and sometimes changing it a bit, works best for me. It's even better when you watch the video once, get the gist of it, then try to rewrite the whole th

I stay focused with pretty much anything in my ears. Sometimes I even listen to very thoughtful discussions while coding, like an interview with the maker of The Wire for instance :) It won't work for most people, but it does for me. With t

Do you have an issue with "tender love making" branding or branding in general? I think a healthy dose of personal branding is ok for me. With that said, the developer community is much much tolerating place than other communities. I mean,

I am a little confused by the wording of this. I usually think of a growth hacker as somebody who helps scale an app, like an Instagram engineer for instance. Is anybody else confused by the naming?

You cant label something as a fact then proceed to say "I think". (ii) is poorly defended. You set out to outline Chomsky's long and engaging political life just so that you can say that it influenced his linguistic theory. Chomsky himself
