Bingo: Mike, I was responding to your email from only a few hours ago when I saw your article. It’s important to clarify a couple of things. We haven’t ceased development efforts on the Mozilla platform. Our upcoming release of Flock 2.1 i

I think that we have made massive strides in the last ten years. First of all, consumer hardware is obviously much, much more powerful (certainly powerful enough to render everything shown in the video, although perhaps not shaped as elegan

On the other other hand, perhaps at lower levels forcing students to read for information might have positive side-effects. Ctrl-Fing and quick search functions do make the Internet a different experience from the textbook, after all.

Classic Mac OS has been 'ported' (that is to say, emulated) on many, many platforms. It can still play many impressive games and the original hardware wasn't terribly beefy, so it's a great candidate for emulation on weaker devices. That's

Then we'll wait. Give it 20 to 30 years and the blogger generation will become the circuit court judges. Then the problem will be solved. Many of the generational disconnects which make bloggers less capable than old-media journalists can b

The vast majority of people looking at that claim probably wouldn't include mobile devices in Internet viewers anyway. What kind of Flash content producer would say "oh, it's Flash, so it has high penetration among mobile devices, good"? If

Apple was well aware of the netbook segment -- they chose to ignore it. Their "competitor" to the netbooks, the iPod/iPhone line, has been doing extremely well. Ubuntu hasn't succeeded in gaining traction in the portable device market, but

How has XP gotten so much slower over the past few years? The machines out on its release were Pentium IIIs and very early (crap) Pentium 4s, and yet it struggles to run on modern netbook hardware.

Wouldn't forcing the advertising division to split destroy Google? It seems like that would create one company with huge profit but not much else and another company with lots of projects and engineers but no profit source.
