While pipenv has garnered a lot of attention and praise for ease of use, it falls over whenever I integrate it with any serious work. Pipenv lock can take 20-30 minutes on a small flask app (~18 dependencies). And it often mixes up virtuale

You can manually select which apps can be found with Spotlight in the settings app. I had the same problem finding 1Password until I went into settings and explicitly added it. This is terrible UX, but that’s how to fix it on your device un

I run SQLPro Studio at work. Just downloaded TablePlus to play around. The big difference is GUI performance. With a 100k row sample set SQLPro Studio UI gets laggy. TablePlus runs it smooth. TP also has more data display options.

As an "Apple Guy" and a "Watch Guy" the occasional friend will ask me why I don't own an Apple Watch. Your second point nails it. These machines are intimate, lasting. They spend more time with us than anything or

I have experience with co-ops in Texas (a homeschool-favored state) and Iowa (moderately difficult to homeschool legally). In both states, the co-ops are resources for the parents more than the children. Once-a-week classes are normal but f

This is an important distinction. I was homeschooled until college yet still had plenty of friends (I'm not unsocialized). But I still experience culture-shock with my peers - and they with me - because my childhood and teenage years w

Couldn't the same be said for OSX and Linux? Legacy builds are always more stable. Users will migrate when: 1. The existing OS is no longer secure 2. The features of a newer release become necessary. Certainly the use case for desktops
