Nice, what did you settle on? I'm playing with qwen3:32b on an Asahi M1 currently, and it does more than enough for me, but might be tempted if there is a bigger model within reach.

For me the question is who is going to subscribe who hasnt already. And that is before we consider the next gen hardware that can run this stuff locally. But from what I see of the economy around me here, people just dont have the spare fu

Or just a mini configured default 128GB or 256GB. I've been using Qwen3:32b on a 32GB M1 (asahi) and it does most of what I need, albeit a bit slow, but not slow enough that I´d pay monthly for remote ad delivery. I suspect this huge s

Thank-you for the advice. So far it has been mostly SoC stuff, and I recently got side-tracked learning some armv8 assembly, which reminds me somewhat of my 68000 days and has been good fun. I did try QEMU for the first time last week, but

A lot of software is built on layer upon layer of unknown code and black boxed silicon. It is hard to know how that would work in practice.

sure, I have no control if the software is monetized or not. And this is still a fundamental change in how open source works. A name behind every line of code.

Pretty sure I saw one of these in Luzern? Quite an impressive structure in itself, and seems like a better solution than sticking it all in the ground to pollute the water table.

As more people move away from spyPhone devices, how is this going to work. Especially having BigTech being able to hold the EU ransom over access to basic government services. A phone should not be a requirement to partake in society, and

I recently finished a challenging project, and spent a few weeks just hiking 15-20km a day, what a difference it makes. But scarily, it was just starting to feel addictive, just before I was thrown back into this crazy world.

I'm happy to sell my solar power at night. A couple buffer batteries in each home should eventually help even out pricing with everyone trying to sell during peak demand times. But yeah, grid stability might be a fun challenge.
