How many developers - ones that would fit your criteria and be willing to join your startup - could afford to live off of savings for 1-3 years?

Yeah, you absolutely need an FAQ - there's hardly any copy on the site. I think something like a 5% cut would be reasonable if the entire process was pain free. Maybe 10% for a one-off project, or 5% if you maintain a $49/mo subscription. Y

I would love to see the resulting shitstorm from that sticker actually being on the laptop.

Can't blame them for trying, and atleast it isn't a straight rip. Highrise goes a step further and A/B tests with different people and colors. There was a blog post a while back breaking down which designs converted the best for them.

I'm using Rackspace's since I already use their Cloud Servers - one less login to keep track of.

If that was the case, I wouldn't rent a jetski from that company. Now, if that was the only company offering jetskis at that particular location, and there was no paid option available.. well, I'd question whether or not they're owned by Yo

Yeah. The website owner makes a conscious decision to fund their website using ads, and if the ads are so offensive that you literally need to block them, why go to the site? What sites are so crucial that you absolutely must use AdBlock? I

Neither MIT OCW or Khan Academy offer a structured introduction to Statistics. Are there any comparable online courses that are better? Side note: The course is on MIT OCW, but it's simply notes and exams. Edit: It looks like Coursera recen

Have you considered just calling Herman Miller or Steelcase? They should be able to give you a definitive answer on the weight limits for their chairs.

My preferred way to code is leaning back in a chair with my legs resting on an ottoman or something similar. I'd be really interested if anyone else has more (anecdotal?) evidence supporting this. For the record, I tend to develop using a l

I agree with the trust aspect, even if most consumers wouldn't recognize the RackSpace brand. Another explanation could be: it's an easy way to fill up some whitespace in the footer.
