WSL2 is what people use now though. Saying "WSL is not linux" (because wsl1 isn't) is pedantically analogous to saying "mac os is not a unix based os" (because mac os 9 and under isn't)

Why does apple still do this? Surely there's some other way they can implement whatever functionality these files provide? The collective number of man hours wasted on this issue is probably centuries by this point.

I always click through regardless, because the rss text is probably missing formatting and images. I'll never be sure I'm getting a proper copy of the article unless I click through anyway.

Strongly agree here. IMO libraries should try hard to return sensible error codes (within reason, eg null pointer access is unrecoverable imo) but application code should just crash. And when a library returns an error code, default to just

This is a sentiment that I've seen expressed in comment sections many times. I've been programming professionally now for 10 years, and it just doesn't resonate with my experience. Problems with build systems for external dep

Until shockingly recently I thought the definition of summer, winter etc was just when it's hot / cold in England. So I thought December is still winter even in Australia, it's just not cold in winter there. In my defense, we

I don't really get why you'd waste space on a battery in a device like this. It's going to be used plugged in, so who needs it? I know there's the idea of AR goggles but like, c'mon. Nobody really believes that will
