One of the biggest thing that surprised me is that there's a binary written in Rust that listens for your queries and then passes them to the underlying database. That's unnecessary moving part IMHO. Is it still the case or they c

Congratulations! Some innovation, some engineering. The other way, I was thinking about using uni kernels to deploy storage appliances via firecracker and here we go.

Well, anything could be fake these days even the Boston Dynamic's video could be fake in this day and age but... I tend to believe both videos probably are not fake. With speech recognition, text to speech AGI and the advancements in m

Impressive. The machine learning application in these domains is the real game changer. PS: Isn't that the Lord of the Lithium, the Guardian of the Tunnels has the robot prototypes that not only serve drinks but do the small talk with

Not to mention that chain of thought is computationally very expensive. Prohibitively expensive for sure to be served free like previous generation of Web 2.0 products. Seems like repeated promoting can't juice AGI out of token probabi

I have tried to learn rust and borrow checker is no problem but I can't get lifetimes and then Rc, Box, Arc Pinning along with async Rust are a whole another story. Having programmed in raw C, I know Rust is more like Typescript if you

Not sure if it is relevant but after firing 500 people, the stock price is almost up by 2 dollars between 29th and and 30th October. Next - we have to raise our prices. Probably lazy money invested for gains takes its toll on the rest of th

Our industry has few innovative ideas in past decades ranging from small to large. Rust, React, Tailwind, Typescript, Nix come to mind. All these did things differently enough to seem weird at first. Flutter is hands down the best DX produc

How are they exactly temperature controlled? To control temperature, we would need to circulate something around the cells and that something has to be heated or cooled whereas every tear down I have ever seen of EV batteries contains nothi
