Have you tried working through the book[1]? Rust tends to be much harder to learn though experiments/doing than other languages. It can be beneficial to work through the book, even if that's not normally the way you go about learn

We used Rust to replace font handling that was implemented in C in Prince¹ (which is mostly written in Mercury). This was then extended to include all font shaping and released as Allsorts². We integrate the Mercury code with Rust via FFI&#

To me one of the primary benefits of dhall is the type system checking that the structure of your data and its values match expectations. By using JavaScript don’t you lose all that?

There are very few other options with an aluminium body. Razer laptops are one but Linux isn’t great on them from what I’ve read. I’ll be interested to see how it ages as well. I have a 2013 MacBook Pro and it’s still in excellent condition
