Any piece of consumer hardware I have should be able to survive at the least a fall from my hand. Most smartphones use glass touchscreens, and thus don't fit the bill. Funny how it turns out though, that the cheap plastic screens are

I have a friend who makes a show of throwing his phone on the ground and stomping on it whenever people start to talk about smartphones. I can do the same thing, minus the stomping. Both of our phones were made circa 2005.

The only thing new TLD's are going to be used for are things like googlec.om and other phishing attempts. I find the whole thing silly, but I guess some people like the idea.

Cool, but forcing users to buy "points" probably hurts their market target (devs). Otherwise,seems great. I'm intrested in using it to see how many sites use specific widgets or tracking pixels. If they add regexps it would

Personally, I'd prefer a little "Thank You" on some Yahoo site. $12.50 seems insulting. "Oh, your time is worth $12.50 to us, but thanks for disclosing a huge XSS issue."

Huh, I always assumed that HURD was just GNU politics, what with the all the GNU tools with linux, while the GNU's original goal was an OS complete with kernel. When I look at it in this light, HURD makes more sense. I do disagree wi
