I lost my adobe license from my old job and gave designer a go. For my purposes, I’ve found it to be a superior solution. Runs faster, and basically the same shortcuts.

I do not trust people when they use culture as a selling point. I made the mistake once, and did meet some great people, but I don't see a single one of them regularly. We ended up having a temporary job and basically just shared mutua

I think looking for memoirs by people who you see no common ground with and cant stand is a great way to do that.

I had a similar relationship with my mother. Political opposites, plus mental illness, yada yada yada. When I came home from college she told me she was done with me and I haven’t seen her in over a decade. It was incredibly hard for me at

I’ve had several restaurants tell me to avoid any food delivery platform and they’re backing it up with great perks. I’d much rather spend extra tipping the person taking the risk than financing the middleman. But, I can see value in having

I wanted to love this on MacOS so badly, but it was too laggy for basic usage on a 2020 MBA. I have always found it fine on my less capable Debian box, but, but Affinity Designer has become my go to on Mac.

I really hope they make the magic bar an option not the baseline. I just updated to the new air and would not buy another Mac if it doesn’t have a fully physical keyboard

I’ve done my fair share of hackathons, and to me it was a fun social thing. Like a rave for nerds, but, like spending the weekend in a sweaty factory staying up all night, you’re not going to make great choices and they take it out of you.

I’m personally a dig in the docs kinda person, but I’ve worked with plenty of people who prefer a tutorial with a teacher and projects.

Do things outside work! You can make friends on the job, it makes the days so much better. If you believe the workplace is a big contest for who's best, it probably will be. But, in my experience, if you treat every new job like you wo

I've had such a different experience than you. I feel that being friends with co-workers has always been more about mutual aid than competition.

That's the great thing about co-worker friends. I don't have tech friends from my "real" life, but I have a ton of random friends from old jobs I talk to and (in what seems like a different life, before COVID-19) get tog

I pick my battles, I’m not going to complain about a policy unless I think it could really hurt people. If I complained about everything i think is dumb, I’d never be able to keep a job, because most of it seems dumb to me.
