was FaceID a failure? It was engineered to the same allowances as touchID: a determined, relatively well resources adversary can bypass it.

It’s a spectrum. There are companies that absolutely care with every fiber of their being, and those that couldn’t care less. Now that “cyber” is a thing that can lead to a CEO losing their head, most companies are roughly in the middle som

It depends. If you’re expecting it to land you a job, no. If you’re trying to add to your arsenal of skills, maybe (arguably you could self teach a lot of it and save your money). If you’re trying to get past HR in some big company who use

OP: you’ll find you got a lot of very vague, broad, range of answers. I think it might help if you try to find a subset of security that you’re interested in or would like to tackle. It’s very hard these days to be a complete and effective

So I’m very far from experienced or a veteran in this field. Perhaps I didn’t word it properly - the github repo literally had no ML code at all. It was a todo. In general, it’s a great resource. The field moves so fast it’s nice to have a

I’d hazard a guess that a lot of the fundamentals haven’t really changed in an interesting way - it’s just becoming more widespread and popular, which isn’t interesting from a tech perspective. And I don’t disagree with throwing a small amo

This looks like an interesting resource, however the first link I clicked (regarding TF analysis of 1.4 billion records breached) links to a github repo with a couple of python files for parsing raw data and a big ol “todo” for the actual a

If that’s true, you’re making your case worse rather than better. Your earlier comment that you worked at GS and “sort of know what I’m talking about” with no actual constructive rebuttal to any arguments undermines your credibility.

As far as I’m aware, hash algos like SHA or Scrypt are not the type of math that quantum computing threatens.

Do you think there is a single organization out there which will never be breached? I personally don’t think it’s possible. Or are you more taking aim at it being a defeatist position? I do t fully understand. I’ve never seen a decent, well

Most users check the URL when they first browse to a page. You want them to continuously keep verifying it’s the correct domain/cert just because this company is too lazy/cheap to buy a cert?

Just hearing the name of the film, that I last watched 10+ years ago in a completely different point of my life and mindstate makes me start to wonder how I got to this. Today is going to be a slow day.
