Rather than conjuring up this strawman, maybe you should just reply to the one single comment that even comes close to the stance you are describing.

I think he means like http://guildwork.com/ . Enjin is similar, but every feature was copied from Guildwork and significantly slower / worse.

Really surprised by all the comments here. This seems like a solid business decision by LinkedIn, riding the line of what a user is willing to accept and balancing it well with the potential rewards. Look at every famous company and you&#x

It's a crazy amount to pay, but in mobile software only 2 things really matter - Photos and Messaging. These are the only 2 things that are universal to every single person on this planet who owns a mobile device and if you want to be

That's incorrect. They are downloading games that are clearly not Flappy Bird and driving those games up the charts. They want that specific mechanic or a variation of it.

The main issue is that the bar moves location. It's really jarring. It would be better if it just sprouted above the text I was editing, instead of flying in to position. Other than that, great job, impressive work.

No. I'm not referring to the visual style alone. Microsoft didn't just do flat UI to be cool. There was a purpose behind it to focus on content first, the same thing literally is being preached by Apple. Apple just executed be

In terms of UI (flat content based UI) at least, they did not copy Apple, it was the other way around. Apple just did it better.

As a Day 0 user, I pretty much agree with the OP. Will check back after a week, but yeah, it's a pretty jarring first time user experience and if it wasn't from Facebook and didn't come with this much hype, I don't thin

Games are making more money than ever, destroyed is not the right word. There will always be a demand for games, and if users do get sick of IAPs then the strategy from every game company will change.

Most people who play it would still never pay for it though. Mobile games are somewhat dependent on whales to justify the costs of upfront investment. It's more like one person paying for 10 other guys who can enjoy it for free.
