This article (and many others like it) miss out an incredibly cheap and healthy source of food, growing your own vegetables.

I made an open source Hacker News app that's inspired from HackerWeb: https://github.com/weiran/Hackers No iPad version yet, working on that for 2.0.

Thanks for the hat tip. I did think about implementing comments like Reddit / Alien Blue, but I found that it involved too much scrolling up and down and having a button at the bottom reduced that.

Hi HN, Developer here. Hackers is my first project and I'd love to get some feedback from HN. I decided to focus on reading HN as that's what I mainly do on my iPhone. Hopefully that's enough differentiation from the excellent news:yc app t

I wonder if this is more to do with HFS+ rather than Finder.

I would beg to differ. I much prefer to work with AutoLayout constraints rather than some custom XML layout like with Android or WP.

You flagged an article because you didn't agree with the author's opinion? I guess I should go flag half of the the Hacker News top posts.

Why are you the judge of a fair price? Also if you disagree with the price, just don't buy it. It doesn't give you the moral justification to pirate it, at least admit that.

Turns out I had to delete the old network from Network preferences and add it again, it was probably set to 2.4GHz only like it was originally. Now I'm on the 5GHz again I seem to be getting a more consistent 450Mbps link speed although act

My point was that I'm running a customised set like the one he describes and my speeds are fine, I sometimes even get a 450Mbps link speed. Saying that, I see no downsides to leaving it fully auto and I think I'll leave it at these settings

I don't get this behaviour with my (latest-gen) Airport Extreme. I have a separate 5GHz network and get consistently 360Mbps to 450Mbps connection to it. Are you sure your Airport isn't faulty? Changing it to a single name for both networks
