Yup. Just that usually they just stall negotiations and pass you on to other people until you get the message and quietly go away.

By what mechanism could you imagine your use of some random javascript library would be affected by being in a patent dispute with Facebook?

I ignore any link to v.reddit. the player and experience is garbage. And it's not a problem you can just solve because you want to, there are plenty of dedicated web video companies that do it with varying competence from average to ba

I don't understand how you can make the leap from accepting that EQ was made up by a journalist with no formal background to arguing that criticising EQ as a concept is naive.

I feel like scala went through the same thing with akka, just with less blog hype. It's a panacea until someone asks how you manage state.

Completely agree. There is no reason (outside of some kind of coding challenge) for code bases in the web domain to contain logic that is so obtuse due to hacks or unavoidable complexity that spending more time to document functions than it

I'm more likely to always have a wallet on me than a phone on me. The base notion that a phone is literally essential to daily life but a wallet is not has yet is not a proven assumption.

I'm sorry but I struggle to take anyone here seriously that thinks that having to not use a specific js framework would be grounds to be legally neutered in a patent litigation case

I have actively spent a good amount of my free time finding or maintaining chrome addons to block that garbage. It's the most inane and vacuous product feature I've come across and that's ignoring that it used to be so badly

This just smells like poor underlying technical leadership more than a success story. Considering kotlin has really only recently become a 'mature' choice (if it even is) to have a app written in it seems unnecessary but to then r

It's interesting. Is this a product that solves a particular problem you've found in the past? Or a product trying to find a market. I don't wish to sound negative, it's a genuine query because I really can't think

Yeah I'm not sure the parallel drawn here between art and webdev really holds up. It's basically "learn by building things" which isn't particularly insightful or novel. I'd argue that building something close
