how do you sell your laptop on ebay? just list it as a single-priced auction, set shipping to USA only, reject any bidders that don't have a paypal account, etc. anyone who can't sell something on ebay without running into trouble like this

I know you're probably joking, but in the limited experience I've had with Linux, I've never had a more negative experience with an operating system than I did with Linux. I'd run Windows XP way before I'd consider running Linux. At least X

our next computer will be a Mac as well, when our old Dell desktop finally dies. When you can run OSX and Windows on one machine, why ever buy a PC again unless you're a hard-core gamer?

there's always the reddit effect. reddit gets popular, gets bought out by corporate swine, becomes a tabloid full of duplicate articles and complete wastes of time. at least this community is still populated by more thinkers than stinkers.

I would rather support 70% of the market and let the 30% download the upgrade. By supporting 30% of the market, you're neglecting the other 70% to a certain extent. If 30% of the market still ran Windows 95, would you support them too? I do

startup. it will allow you to express yourself more, be yourself, enjoy a more relaxed and motivated environment. I work at a major corporation that was more of a startup when I joined and I prefer it the way it was years ago.

bare minimum to have wireless-N networking? built-in bluetooth 2.0? scalable trackpad? I wouldn't call OSX 10.5 a bare minimum OS either, and the bundled apps Apple gives you when you buy a new machine rivals any PC laptop on the market h

Interesting, but I have also read it is more difficult to code for OSX than it is for Windows, but then again, I am not a programmer, so maybe I'm not qualified to even comment. I'm just a happy OSX user, and reluctant Windows user.
