I just started using HTMX. It replaced a small volume of VueJS code that I wrote to facilitate a few XHR interactions. Pagination and filtering and search-as-you-type interactions are all so much more pleasant now. Logic is de-duplicated, s

I... just did a complete rebuild of my Lightsail FreeBSD instance on 13.2! Sadness. Crying. Despair. Relief because FreeBSD just keeps running and doesn't cause me much trouble. :)

I have all of these problems, and more (since I inherited a react native app). I DREAD having up do framework updates. Maintaining this app for iOS is HALF the work that Android is, we have a lot less Android users, and in general it seems

Apple made some really good progress in the latest MacOS and iOS releases. I have been using the "Add to Dock" feature in Safari for things like YT Music and Twitter/X. It's pretty neat and works well.

Yeah I agree with this - it's much of my experience as a professional developer, too. I'm trying to navigate the organization, connect with other teams, understand what needs to get done. The code I write feels like a side-effect

For me, it started around the end of 2018. It seemed like independent blogs and small sites got nuked from orbit, and articles on sites like Medium took precedence. My take on what happened is that they decimated a good product in the name

I use mint - having everything aggregated has been really nice and I was majorly disappointed when I got this email. I guess it depends on how much functionality they pull over, but good chance it spells the end for my usage.

We know. But I too have a hard time trusting this. First, because I feel that Swift has been a boondoggle that everyone was forced to accept and now it's just normal. I'm still not convinced Steve Jobs would have given Swift a go-

Relatable. I built a working concept of a mobile app and pitched it with a friend to FUTO for one of their grants. Project got declined, and the 2 months I spent developing it in every spare moment ended up going nowhere. The failing to lan

You can probably get that for much cheaper and better quality from your local grocery store chain’s deli. When I still worked in an office, the grab and go section at the grocery market really helped me cut down on food costs/expenses.
