my mom won the green card lottery 10 years ago, when I was still young and surely wouldn't have been very useful or profitable. 10 years later, I'm getting my master's at one of the best universities I could've hoped for, and a pretty good

I pretty much do the same - mostly since I decided to typeset my resume a while ago, and converting it to anything, particularly MS Word, just feels like a travesty.

i had an identical experience just a month ago - took 2 months to hear feedback on the technical interviews, followed by a whole bunch of nothing. compared to other offers i had, google moved by far the slowest

C# (and the rest of the .NET paradigm along with it). once i got the taste of command-line + gcc in my first Computer Science courses, I never really looked back ..

Used to do jujitsu, now I mostly play soccer as my physical outlet .. Also regularly play some chess to keep my skills honed, and sometimes play some (mostly soccer) video games when I just want to unwind
