I think the author of the article is way off the mark. An engagement ring isn't any kind of a financial investment (unless you think the wedding's unlikely to happen and you want to sell the ring/diamond). It's a token of committment/love.

There are some really poor ideas in there like blocking the domains of affiliate marketing networks. That won't just block ads, it'll prevent you from clicking through from affiliate sites to vendors' websites.

OK - we have left luggage in large train stations but all bags are subject to security inspections. They have to go through a TSA body scan ;)

I don't think it relates to law, just common-sense after decades of terrorist attacks in London. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_terrorist_incidents_in_... I'm guessing that the risks are far lower in the US

I wouldn't have thought this would have ever got of the ground with potential security issues. An underground station would be the perfect place to plant explosives. In London they don't even have rubbish (trash) bins in the stations. Perha

This is a great initiative. I wonder if there are any plans to bridge sections with WiMax or similar and/or break out from 1G fibre to Copper GigE or wifi in population points to reduce the client-side install and equipment cost.
