That's like saying Ford doesn't owe it to you to fix a defective vehicle because they don't feel it's a priority.

I'm sure that contributes but there's another side to the issue that drives it. Getting devs and especially commercial vendors to pay attention to the issue. It's become all to common place for vendors to abuse their bug repo

This article conflates issues in a misleading way. Yes companies calling their AI models 'open-source' when they are not released under an actual open-source license is a problem that needs to be addressed. But the argument that c

I'm sorry but this is a self created and imposed concept. People promoting the NPC trope are just observing known psychological and sociological traits and phenomena but assigning new and scientifically unsound meanings to them that&#x

I'm not sure what the overall point here is. The headline and article are framed in a way that makes it seem switching from GPLv3 was the catalyst for increased profitability but this is never clarified or quantified: Two years later,

It's not you. It's an unfortunate current trend in the industry. Most companies are outsourcing recruiting now which is what's causing the hiring crisis in our industry. The *vast* majority of recruiters do not have technical

I'm from Genx. The whole pronunciation thing started as a joke but apparently most people didn't get it and it got out of hand. But maybe that's the hallmark of a really good joke. It just keeps delivering.

It's disingenuous to market your product as privacy focused then put the onus on the user to actually make it private. You can do that with any browser. If you're just going to end up shaving the yak anyways why use Brave to begin

Honestly if Fedora is working for you and you don't have some compelling reason to switch I doubt it would be worth it. I had been running Kubuntu up until recently and it's meh. It's not horrible , but not good either. An

Why is this on HN? Some quick googling will tell you everything you need to know about the Epoch Times. I have never heard of this 'All Sides' site. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Epoch_Times

Seems odd too. I'm not sure why it wouldn't support Nvidia cards. The open-source Nouveau drivers for Nvidia cards has been in the mainline kernel for years now. Most Nvidia cards just work out of the box now in Linux.
