It was likely the measurement of the distance between the airport and the building that was the problem. edit: thinking about it, it still doesn't make sense. The difference in distance would be about 2 cm over 10 km.

With 80% efficiency, you have to burn 1/0.8=1.25 units of fuel to get one fuel unit worth of useful heat. With 97% efficiency it's 1/.97≈1.03 units. So if fuel prices and the amount of useful heat usage stayed the same, then

SpaceX is valued at $36B, times 7.5% would be $2.7B for google's stake. Divide by google's market cap of $973B and you get 0.29%. Investing $100 into Google to put 29 cents on SpaceX doesn't seem efficient. SpaceX could doubl

The biological reason for having males and females is ultimately game-theoretical: males spend less energy on reproduction. Females spend more energy (pregnancy), but compensate by demanding higher evolutionary fitness from the males. The m

Sounds like something that could be solved with food irradiation [1] after the cheese has ripened, to kill the mites. It's similar to pasteurization, but without any of the heat which would melt the cheese. And it's already FDA ap
