Good for them. American work culture is...well, retarded (I couldn't think of a less offensive term that also describes it well).

Amazon has locked the discussion as 'too heated' and then closed it. I am not even remotely impacted by these issues but that is absolutely hilarious.

Huh, I didn't know about that. I knew I could use my own domainl; but I'm not really motivated to do so. the fastmail domain suits me well enough. I always have the option to use my own domain later on, anyway.

I actually just began the process of migrating away from Google about two weeks ago. I chose FastMail for my new email provider. It's $5/mo, but honestly, I'm fine paying that, solely to get Google out of my emails. I find th

I have to agree with GP. You were being obtuse and intentionally so. Now, you're tangentially ranting about agency and free will. Speak plainly and without airs.

I agree with mike. You have offered a reductio ad absurdum. This isn't meaningful discussion and it is painfully transparent, as well.

Batteries are expensive. Iron is abundant and cheap, and these seem much less difficult/costly to build than to create a dam, for example. It also seems like it can make use of existing infrastructure and save money there.

That's BS. I read jalopnik regularly for brainless amusement and car news. You're perceived slant against tesla is baseless. They regularly shit on H-D for their idiotic product decisions, chevy and BMW for their idiotic truck

I am not talking about GMO corn or any plants. I'm fine with eating "fancy corn". I'm speaking about GE in the animal kingdom. Genetic engineering has a massive and terrifying potential. Like nuclear weapons, genetic eng

Ya know, as much as the general idea of genetic engineering repulses me, mosquitos are one of the only organisms I am perfectly fine with putting aside my reservations for. I dream of a day when humans wipe them from the face of the earth.

I think this article makes a lot of assumptions. It states gym members ships increased by 37% in ~ 1 decade. But, was that total memberships or % of population? How long do the memberships persist? It only mentions 6 months, pre-covid. Are

Yeah, sure. The fit and finish on the Livewire is great. But who can afford a $30k+ ebike? Especially one that gets barely 100 miles to the tank? Not young americans, that's for sure. Personally, I can't wait until H-D bites the d
