Patently false. I barely hear any talk about MariaDB whereas I still consistently hear about MySQL. Please define "Everybody" in this context, because it sounds like you've conflated it with "I".

Oh, my mistake. I was under the impression that sed/awk/grep/ack/etc etc were part of the POSIX standard toolchain, rather than the GNU toolchain.

I'm pretty new to the industry, being young, but as soon as I got a machine to run a Linux VM on, I spent hours reading docs and man pages and books on Bash and general *nix commands. Definitely helped me become a better programmer. It

This is why I have gripes about the OS X command line. I can't confidently use the scripts I do on Ubuntu/Mint/Debian. Like, get with the program, Apple. It infuriates me and I'm moving entirely off their platform as soo

Yup. I think, as you say, it's a part of the terrain of the ecosystem. Could the makers of Express have created a more comprehensive boilerplate that includes things like Helmet, Async, Moment, gulp, etc., etc.? Yeah, and I definitely

Ok, I see your point. I, too, hate writing boilerplate code. But I did three things to resolve this: I built a `config.js` file, which contains the paths to resource files in a more compact format, and is sourced into the gulpfile. I then r

I wouldn't necessarily say so. Rightfully pointing out that someone has made a statement which doesn't add anything to the discussion or support their argument is a valid counter to ad-hominem attacks which aren't automatical

Peloton is in fact the French word for platoon. I'd be highly surprised if the bike maker had the legal standing for issue infringement claims. Just as you can't copyright the word "bicycle", peloton is used widely enoug

I''m of the same sentiment, but I feel that even more rigor and a smaller p value should be demanded from our election methods. 99% seems like a nice number.

Well, my 2013 MBP does that, to the point that if I leave it for 6hrs it's out of battery such that I cannot even turn it on. Real shitty. Don't know if I'm just bad at this stuff or if most computers do that.

Bootstrap is really so far behind now I don't know why anyone even considers it as a viable option anymore. How long have they been in alpha/beta stage without a solid RC? It's legitimately pathetic and abysmal at this point.
