I needed a "battery case" for my iPhone 8 very shortly after I got it and so did my wife. She just upgraded to an iPhone 12 so we'll see how much time goes by before she needs one again too. Luckily Apple is making one now, s

You asked if it was a bad idea in general. It's not. Perhaps it's a bad idea in this one specific case but not in general.

Yeah, I almost always need something from an external repository with Debian based systems. I need external repositories (albeit rarely) with Arch too though and that has never caused a problem.

And yet, Debian based desktop systems are the ones that have always broken after updates for me. It was only when I started using an Arch based system that I was able to go past 6 months without any issues. I’ve been running Manjaro now on

I used my personal email to create an Apple Developer account. Then, when I stopped paying for that account - I was unable to use the free level Apple Developer services. So now, I would have to setup a whole other Apple ID and configure th

Just because it's not implemented yet doesn't mean it can't be implemented. Electron can do anything a native app can because it is a native app itself. Anyway, you can do it without dragging which is actually even better. Ju

You don't seem to understand that there is no arbiter of objectivity that we can rely on and that deciding what is a flawed design and what is not is completely subjective. Removing the headphone jack "for waterproofing" is

A bad design choice is exactly what a design flaw is though. There's no other definition. If you make bad choices, that's a flaw in your design. End users have to live with these choices, so we get to decide what is a flaw and wha

Yes, it is a smoking cessation product. It helps you cease smoking. Vaping is not smoking.

Any problem I've had in Linux was fixed in 5 minutes too. There are too many things in macOS which can't be fixed. You can't even change the color of your mouse pointer if you want to.

I thought that people regularly ignored things like EULAs without running into legal problems. Who even reads them? I guess you'd get in trouble when you go to publish the results, but we probably would have heard about that by now if

I don't think that this guy was trying to present himself as the average user. Obviously the people on this forum are not average users. Simply sharing a point of view does not an argument make.

Like many in that thread, I'm wondering how WebView2 will work on Linux or Mac. Will it be a PWA or will they build a native shell around native web views for each platform?
