Why don’t they sell just the hackintosh hardware but without the OS pre-installed? Then ship explicit instructions on how to do the perfectly reproducible installation on your own...

GitHub is not Git. If the Git cli tool still initializes a new repo to 'master', I'm not going to go out of my way to rename it before I push to GitHub. I haven't seen any discussion around changing the Git cli tool.

I wonder how well something like this will do compared to Ithaca hours [0] where one unit of currency is equal to an hour’s worth of work. It’s been around for a long time, but they don’t give free money to people like they do with this loc

All you have to do is clear the site data and refresh the page. You could also disabled JS or cookies but then you would not be able to read the comments if you wished to do so.

Try Manjaro Linux on your laptop. Last laptop I installed it on, everything just worked. And it's based on Arch, so you'll be able to take advantage of the excellent Arch software repo and wiki (if necessary).

As a guy who had been trying Linux desktops for 2 decades before I finally switched, I fully recommend Manjaro Linux over any other distro. Based on Arch, it's the only system I've tried that never killed itself with updates. What

No it’s not. That’s just a thing that some people say... but it’s actually not true. There is only one of many things in technology and everybody gets along just fine in those situations.

For those who might not be aware, the Military is run in a very cult-like manner. The core of any cult is ritual (habit / repetition), in-group language, in-group symbolism, in-group socializing, etc. The brainwashing actually begins o

I would like a system whereby the individual users likes and interests are used to weight everything. What we have now everywhere is basically a "majority of the moment" sorting and censoring the comments for me. I don't know

Actually, about half my list was non-material things - friends, family, fulfillment, etc.. You're just focusing on the material things because you want to think bad things about me, since you're quite obviously a miserable person

I haven't had a run-in with the police since I was in my twenties, but I think just for fun - I'm going to get a bodycam, a dashcam and a bunch of security cameras for my property. You never know when they might come in handy. Any

Scientific facts are not a worldview. Saying so is awfully ignorant . My state has also mandated that everybody wears masks in public places, so it's actually against the law right now... Care to keep going? I'll be right here...

Police handle many things wrongly. I just got back from the store where I held the door open for a police man as he entered... and he wasn't wearing a mask. I waited until he got out and I asked him "No mask?" to which he rep

Nobody in any of these threads has pointed out an original idea that AppGet implemented. Looking at the list of features Keivan he was credited for, I see nothing original. Microsoft's project is written in C++, Keivans in C#. Nothing
