Play with fire and get burned. Sounds like the thugs have started tracking the thief, which would end in blood if caught. Classy stuff here folks, amazed drug dealers and crooks seem "normal" now.

I don't follow your first remark. Are you trying to say that because he said "kindergarten" instead of naming a specific kindergarten that it's no longer threatening or a threat?

If someone is going to physically break into your house and access your money what's to stop them from physically assaulting you until you give them the password? Or just taking the computer that stores the "offline" wallet?

It seems the general consensus believes it was MtGox's fault that they didn't handle the protocol correctly. The only way to spin this on MtGox is to blame their protocol problems on BitCoin itself.

Yes, confidence in a currency is very important to its survival. The crazy volatility, the inability to withdraw sometimes, the competitors, the uncertainty everywhere. Bitcoin is not helping itself.

Why are you comparing S3 costs to "just" HDDs? HDD's aren't web enabled and require other hardware to run and keep running.

I think you've made the correct move posting here (since it's on the front page). If you don't get rectification this week I would most certainly sue. You shouldn't "feel bad" that they're a start up. T

(DEVIL'S ADVOCATE) Am I allowed to go to businesses and try to pick the locks, look inside, and then report to the business owner that their lock was pickable? Well... yes, but I'd probably be reported to police. Websites, like l

Please stop belittling Aaron's intelligence. I know many people on HN feel like they have to defend Aaron's life and want to find someone to blame but he's not an idiot. He knew as well as anyone that actual jailtime would

Why would one use The Anarchist Cookbook to defend themselves against heavily armed cops? I think a gun would be more effective than a tennis ball filled with match heads.

I have a 100 game library of games on Steam that I would love to play on my TV but the SteamBox will only play a tiny percentage of them due to being linux based. Seems great for those new to steam though...

Lots of negative comments on HN, surprise surprise. Seems like an enormous amount of code, we should be happy it's now open source for others to use and learn from.

No, killing an animal for food is not as morally wrong as slavery or murdering a person. Are you joking? Animals all over the planet kill each other for food. It's part of life. Farm animals are not people and never will be. It

I'm not particularly familiar with this application but I do see some benefits of a cloud IDE. They will enable someone to code anywhere on any computer on any OS without installation and without having to spend time on source control.
