Yes, this is really how it works, and Bernoulli should be left in the dustbin, since in comparison it's a smaller effect, with more impact for carburetors than aircraft wings. One small anecdote: the first time I flew a 1-26, I got it

Clunkier. Yep. Doesn't look near as good as the 'real' Spectrum R-Type. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6lvAXSGBpI I think it's the blocky movement that kinda kills it for me.

Thanks a bunch for that, khash looks really interesting, and it does what I kinda wanted to do, but didn't really realize was possible. Suddenly, the C preprocessor doesn't seem quite as far distant from C++ templates as I'd

Yes, there's definitely some stuff in there I hadn't thought of like how to handle strings as char[xxx] vs string ptrs. Thanks.

Ahhh, thanks for that. I will take a look. Definitely interested to see how other people handle some of issues with threading, hash-collisions etc., and also how to best build code that'll run out of a single header file.

I know this is pretty simple, but I never ever did at any point implement a hash table, just went more or less straight to programming in Assembler in a semi-mature system, then to MFC on Windows since about 1998. Performance-wise, my singl

What do you mean by .NET Native? He does compare .NET C# with the managed C++ extensions (terminology?) and managed C++ does pretty well, just a whisker away from full on low-level C++. And several times faster than C#.

Ladas were a common sight in the UK on the early 80's. Especially in Scotland where they did well in the tough conditions. They were also cheap. I've still not figured out how, if Top Gear was to be believed, how the BMW 3-series

I like my Logitech m310, single battery wireless mouse. Enough to have one on all my boxes. Available for ~$20 easily on eBay. Prior to that, I liked the Microsoft Explorer mice, but they are wired, sadly.

I support a major commercial G&G app, and I was interested in how easy it would be to make a half complex transform, without the slow turnaround of messing with the guts of 5 million lines of C#, C++, C, Fortran etc.

Reputedly, if you own an RX-7 or RX-8, you should spin the engine up to 9k revs at least once every trip... lest carbon deposits build up and wreak havoc. I can't imagine a technology like this is that well suited to constant and relat
