It's a fairly firmly established fact and widely understood as a major cause within firefighting and forest management circles, including the Forest Service, who is largely responsible for such practices over the past century. The natu

Commercial logging is not the answer, though mechanical thinning might be to get things back to a natural state before reintroducing a properly balanced fire regime with natural and if necessary prescribed fire.

It's not very complicated at all, the issue is more a lack of education. Online personal finance resources and communities help a lot, but people still have to know to seek out that information.

Just because another country does something stupid doesn't make it a good idea. Also, as noted in another comment, the one time this was done in Sweden, it was a fire on a military base . In the U.S., cultural resource protection is o

Some see it as a cultural arms race. A "the other cultures aren't stopping having children, so we need to out-populate them!" sort of deal. What the fuck is with the idiotic voting going on here lately? Every single comment I

That wasn't my intended implication, I was suggesting just that in the long term there's a far greater track record of positive growth in the traditional stock market compared to Bitcoin.

The S&P 500 has a ~10% annual return (7% adjusted for inflation) as a historical average. 2% is what you can get in a savings account with no risk at this point. Index funds/ETFs allow anyone to invest in the stock market starting

Just as with a bird strike, a drone can cause harm to any low flying firefighting aircraft. Sighting any drone in the airspace of a wildfire causes all air operations to be suspended until it is gone.
