Yes because A tech-bro AIs dream is hundreds of thousands of developers being let go and replacing them with no code tools. Sure, replace me with AI, but I better get royalties on my public contributions. I like many other developers have k

The name of the game for me is building “sh#t that works well” and I like it, and that means constant learning no doubt. I’ve done crazy sh!t like implementing Webservers with bash, accessed accessed by tunneling over uart, to configure las

Sorry just asking. I used to review CVs part time. It used to be pretty clear who was embellishing their CV with AI and who was not. There was also a writing style that came with using AI. My spider sense is tingling!

That’s true, but I would still call overloading system binaries bad practice. Your making yourself foot gun.

I would recommend against overriding standard system binaries, you could break compatibility on your system with scripts that depend on those binaries. I just use an abbreviation like rg=“grep -RE”

I’m not hoarding a library of accounts to abuse the ToS. My last account is on a dead iPhone somewhere. Things break or transfer ownership. HN accounts are quick to make, and I’m not one to collect internet points.

I don’t get it, is this some kind of gotcha? Have you walked down the skid row of any large city? Heroin and well other drugs now are a problem, saying otherwise is delusional. Those people need help.
