I find it hard to believe Apple would ditch bootcamp outright. It is too useful of a feature.

The US has one of the best and most comprehensive railways on earth. The problem is that its a freight railway that passenger trains have to work around. In southern california the metrolink regional railways link the entire region, but tak

How are these shared cars not going to be treated like crap like most other shared vehicles, such as scooters? At my old college, drunks flipped a shared smart car onto its roof for sport.

Should we ban motorcycles too since they also lose on a head on with an SUV? No. This golfcart would be perfect for a lot of people, myself included.

Congresspeople do have access to experts. Their staffers are brilliant. The issue is that ultimately what motivates any politician is moneyed interests, and not collective good.

I’d think the list is shorter of charismatic politicians who hadn’t gone to a top notch law school. Plenty use brains and charm. Even spineless hacks like Mitch McConnel know how to be charismatic around wealthy republicans, and are brilli

The staffer is a specialist. Intimate knowledge of highway infrastructure, or technology issues alone do not make a senator. A senator is someone who manages a small cabal of specialist experts who collectively hold more knowledge than any

Seriously, this is auto/tech nerd news which is read by a sliver of car buyers. Folks will stroll into the dealership they bought their last GM 15 years ago and say ‘gee maybe ill give electric a shot for these lease terms considering

You can even get this with zero deductible for some policies. I pay $8/mo for that with my renters.

At what point does the thief just cut your frame? They want scrap metal, functional bike be damned.

In the U.S. bike theft is not pursued since it isn’t a felony usually. People don’t spend a lot of time in jail for bike theft even when they do get caught, so not much downside for a very high possibility of an upside.

People who want to steal a bike to feed a fix don’t care about your groupset, they care that you have 20 pounds or so of good scrappable metal. Anything is fair game. Any lock can be cut. Crackheads have battery powered angle grinders too,

I think the best solution is to assume theft. Even with the GPS position, not much you or law enforcement will do once its in a homeless encampment with 20 other bikes. Buy a cheap lock to deter walking off with the bike, and buy insurance

Seriously, my renters insurance covers all my possessions including my bike from theft for like $8 a month. Bike is insured for 1k.

I’m surprised he’s not using a cheap lock and a cheap insurance policy instead. Chain or no, any bike can be stolen. Why drop money on the kryptonite chain when thieves still can angle grind through it like any other lock?

I had a pretty secure spot too and thieves still took everything out of that apartment. The crime takes 3 seconds, and you only look like a criminal for those three seconds. At all other times you look like any other resident.

Police won’t do anything on this information. You’d follow your radio transmitter to a homeless encampment with 20 more bikes piled up, then comes the question of whether you can talk your way out of that desperate thief not getting a hit o

Be that as it may, it makes no sense to replace a public service with a rent seeking operation. Improve the public service, don’t give up and part it out.

What men are you seeing? Buff shirtless men in 3” inseam shorts and a bulging groin are a staple of every American city in the summer. I see more and more mesh clothing in this heat, although I do live by west hollywood.

Not all. Many in CA had their father pay off their building decades ago and are still enjoying that 1970s property tax rate while collecting the same top of market rent as new construction.
