What does "doesn't work" mean here, and who learns that lesson? E-mail is decentralized, but every now and then a hn post pops up, complaining about how you can't run your own email server these days. Billions of people

Well, it's not exactly the only blog post on this site about medieval pigs. At the bottom of the post there is a link to their other posts about those animals[0], of which there are 12 at this moment. It seems like some medievalists a

Do you have a source of the government "placing the blame for climate change on the backs of Dutch farmers"? The Dutch government wanted[0] to curb emissions, and since (high intensity) farms are huge polluters, some of the measur

For a new personal best you can even skip going to the in-store computer. The IKEA website can tell you where your item is, if you select the store you’re going to.

Haven’t we more or less done that? There will of course always be Markdown projects that don’t use CommonMark and that won’t change. But every note taking app and website I’ve that supports Markdown uses CommonMark. The only problem is that

I think that option has been available since way before ios16. The situation for Colemak is still that it’s possible to use an external keyboard with that layout, but there’s no on screen keyboard (unless you use a third party keyboard)

You seem to assume that everybody on this website knows what Ring UI is. But I didn't know and judging from quite a few other comments here, I wasn't the only one. All we had to go by was the title "JetBrains Ring UI" a

I don't but I do use, and am interested in, their software. So it's a bit disappointing to see a link to their site while using hn on mobile, only to get to a page that doesn't display anything useful.

Are you suggesting that the men were known as Julius Caesar and Augustus Caesar? Because that's wrong[0]. Augustus used this name and it became a title for roman Emperors, in reference to Julius Caesar. If people are talking about Caes

You don't need uMatrix to block all third party cookies, in both Firefox and Chromium that is a build in option. And I don't think that option is as good as IDCAC (or Consent-O-Matic [0]) + CookieAutoDelete. With those two add-on
