been through building exactly this and expanded the features. you really need to cut through competition to be able to get any customers at all. the only way to do that is have a differentiated product and this is not it.

I do agree the transparency often is good for the user. However, only when it matters to them. For developers, the model picker is the right choice because we do care about it. For more mainstream "normie" users - not so much.
