This is really exciting. I've been using zsh for years but would probably change to this shell with better completions and theming.

I'm not sure if your comment is directed at me or used for rhetorical effect. Either way it's confusing and a little bit offensive. The first thing is that there's a signal here that you believe there's something defecti

I've recently heard an argument that the probability of being injured/killed by a vaccine (e.g. due to complications, allergies, etc.) is on average greater than the probability of covid causing damage/fatality to an individu

This doesn't surprise me at all. The intersection of engineers and public speakers is pretty tiny. It's not recreational; it's high pressure. You need to find something fun and laidback. Something low stakes, like a semi-week

I'm not buying that they're doing it out of the generosity of the business. Otherwise why not just offer a generous number of days vacation in the benefits package? They're making it unlimited because they're counting on

Either that or provide humane vacation time. In the USA you accrue like 11 days of vacation per year. Contrast with many places in Europe such as Sweden where you are entitled to at least 25 days. Not to mention the cultural differences whe

Folklore, rumors, and gossip are all as old as spoken language. Just a few hundred years ago, educated people still thought there were witches and magical monsters. Only the medium for story telling has changed, but now with the added bene

I think that would make sense, because time seems to speed up as you get older, so if you think only a minute has passed when it was actually 2.5 minutes it would definitely feel like time had gone much more quickly than anticipated

What is the best way to test load and pricing like this? In my mind, the way I would do it is run the server and then hit it with a load tester (i.e. a number of queries simulating the number of users desired). That will tell us if it can w

Adding to this, another reason I hate private insurance is the concept of networks and claims. It doesn't really matter what insurance you have. I have an upper-middle tier PPO, and still two doctors offices have turned me away because
