Oh, they do! We added that functionality a few weeks ago. It's listening only for now, and until a week ago didn't work on older Android (2.3ish), but it's there. :)

FWIW, Grooveshark has a feature called Broadcast that, while not the same thing as Turntable, has the human curated music selection part of the experience. We're also about to release functionality that lets you view past broadcasts, h

Perhaps I'm missing something, what about static methods prevents you from having a mock AuthorizeNet class implementing the same interface but with a submit() method that just returns fake data? Perhaps there is something specific to

Hmm, how so? In general it seems to make testing things easier since nothing is carrying around state; a static method with the same parameters is going to run exactly the same way every time no matter where or when it's called.

Agreed. There are a few things which are stateful and are therefore made easier/better by OO, mainly DB connections. For everything else, we mostly use classes as namespace (pre-5.3) with lots of static methods. In general for backend

Has anyone noticed that thanks to AutoRip, you can often more cheaply get MP3s by buying the physical CD than you could by buying the MP3s directly?

I explicitly said for streaming content you don't own. Does iTunes let you do that without involving any form of DRM?

If there is one thing DRM actually makes sense for, it's for streaming content you don't own. "The announcement is Netflix's latest chess move in their long game to blanket the web in DRM. Slipping a DRM delivery mechani

More useful than a comprehensive list of all queuing libraries would be a comparison of the best ones with tl;dr summaries of how each works, pros & cons of each approach, and some consistent benchmarks.

if you want to do a merge commit sometimes, but pull --rebase most of the time, why not make pull --rebase the default, and do a fetch && merge when that's what you want?

autosetuprebase is annoying because it doesn't apply to any already existing branches, and because it's configuring a per-branch setting going forward, if you ever want to change the setting later after you have a lot of branches, you're go

It's been a while since I've used Firefox as my primary browser, but in my experience, long running use of Firefox used way more memory than Chrome. Because of its process per tab architecture, Chrome has always been able to clean up unused

Yeah unfortunately this is a browser thing. We are actively searching for hacks/workarounds but haven't found anything yet. In fact it's even worse with the Chrome browser, music stops playing the second you lock the screen. :(

We restrict uploads to a minimum of 128kbps and prefer 192kbps if it's available. It is of course possible for someone to transcode a 64kbps file up to 128 or 192kbps to make us play something that truly sounds awful, but based on my own pe
